WOW! Your blog is quite a “page turner” or I guess in this computerized world it would be a “mouse scroller?” I especially loved the entry about Edward R. Murrow! My college Journalism professor used to play us old Murrow audio…I used to want to BE Murrow but that is another tale! Keep it up and thanks for sharing.

The problem with the Boston Acoustics HD Radio is the Ktec switching power supply!
It trashes AM and FM Analog and Digital signals. Cut the cord and try running the radio with 12 VDC battery.
You should have goten the Radiosophy HD100 This radio does work and mine even decodes AM analog Stereo!

> So far the biggest disappointment is 93 KHJ in America Samoa sounds like it could be station in Iowa. They’re good. Just not what I expected from a station in that part of the world.
Alan,
93KHJ is a US-style Hot AC, so I should feel proud that you say we sound like we’re in Iowa, or anywhere on the mainland for that matter. We were the first “American style” station in the territory, which has an insatiable appetite for all things American. You must have missed one of our local newscasts – we have three fulltime news people and do extensive local news 6x daily. If you were expecting to hear “island music”, that’s on our sister-station, V103 (www.wvuv.com). It’s Samoan/Polynesian AC.
